If you have already installed the printers before, you can skip this step, but sometimes it is best to do a clean install by removing drivers from Macintosh HD/Library/printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/CN*
Double click on UFRII_v10.13.00_Mac.zip, then double click UFRII_v10.13.00_Mac.dmg
Double click on UFRII_LT_LIPS_LX_Installer.pkg and follow the instructions.
Create Print Queue(s):
To create a CanonMFD secure print queue, go to System Preferences then double-click Print & Scan:
Once the Print & Scan window is up, you will need to unlock it by clicking on the lock icon and entering administrator account credentials in order to make changes. Once the window is unlocked, click on the + to add an entry.
If the next window is missing the Advanced tab, right-click on any of the grey area next to the Search field and select Customize Toolbar. A sub-window will appear where you will drag the Advanced icon onto any part of the grey area by the Search field.
In the next window, click on the Advanced tab, select Windows printer via spoolss from the Type: drop-down menu, in the URL: field type the address of the Uniflow server smb://"your SUNet"@seq-uniflow.stanford.edu/CanonMFD-Secure, create a name for the print queue (for example: Canon Uniflow Secure Print), and select Canon iR-ADV C5045/5051 PS as the print driver. Once you've selected the print driver, click OK, then click Add in the next window.
Note: If you are experiencing issues printing try the option for Canon iR-ADV C5045/5051 PS.
If you sit in a secured area where print jobs can remain safely printed at the MFD, you may add the unsecured print queue by following the same instructions above, but use the name of the specific MFD that is nearest to you:
Here is the list of Canon MFD printers deployed. The naming convention uses Canon-MFD-"Your building"-"Room number where MFD is located":
To edit the finishing options, select the print queue you just created and click the Options & Supplies button:
Select the Driver tab and change Output Options to Inner Finisher A1. Click the OK button and the print queue setup is now complete.
