If you have administrative permissions, you can disable various add-ins in Office applications.
Example: Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-in can often cause problems in Outlook.
To disable this:
- Open Outlook (you may need to use Safe Mode, to do this hold CTRL on your keyboard while you launch Outlook)
- On the File tab, click Options.
- Click Add-Ins.
- In the Manage drop-down, select COM Add-Ins, and then click Go.
- Select to clear the option for Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-in, and then click OK.
- Restart Outlook
You can apply these same steps for other add-ins in other Office applications.
