Toggling between Stanford account and personal Gmail account

Sometimes when I click on a Google Docs link it takes me to my personal Google Docs page and I cannot see the document shared with my Stanford account.  I am currently logged into my personal gmail account. 

Note: This problem assumes you are already logged into Google with your Stanford account.  If you need help logging in with your Stanford account please see this article.


Google allows a user to be logged into 1 work account and 1 personal account.  Sometimes Google will show the user the wrong account.  The user can toggle between the two accounts.  Here's how:

Go to www.google.com

In the upper right hand corner you'll see the account you are logged in as.

Click the down arrow to the right of your small profile picture to get the drop down Account Panel.

In the Account Panel, click "Add Account."

Notice now I'm logged in as my Stanford account and my personal account.

My Stanford account is highlighted in white in the Account Panel and my Stanford email address shows in the user identifier at the top of the page.  


To toggle between accounts, select the account you want in the Accounts Panel.
