Microsoft Software for Faculty, Staff, and Students

Stanford University now has a license agreement with Microsoft that provides several Microsoft products to faculty and staff with full-service SUNet IDs on university-owned computers. Students are able to obtain some Microsoft products as well.

For Faculty & Staff:

Start at the Essential Stanford Software site (ess.stanford.edu) for the following:

  • Desktop Software (for Windows) 
  • Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 
  • Microsoft Project Professional 2013 
  • Microsoft Visio Professional 2103 
  • Desktop Software (for Mac)
  • Microsoft Office for Mac 2011

For Students:

Students can access their free downloads of Office and OS upgrades from the software licensing store: http://softwarelicensingstore.stanford.edu

For SoE IT Professionals:

Operating systems, server applications and Microsoft Office products for Stanford IT professionals can be found at: http://msit.stanford.edu.

Workgroup microsoft-ees:soe defines authorized users.
